All Ages, All Bodies, All Levels
 The Center For Body Awareness

My name is Tracy Ryan, LMT, CPT, NMT Movement Therapist, and I have been working in the field of Health & Wellness throughout New Jersey and New York City since 1997. I received my BA in Psychology at Rutgers University in 1992.

Early in my experience, I realized that all bodies need the chance to move and to be active.  I became a Certified Personal Trainer through AAAI/International Sports Medicine.  My education did not stop there, I became infatuated with the human body and wanted to understand the mind and body connection.  Neuromuscular training and helping people understand their movements can help people heal after injuries as well as preventing new injuries.

I am also a licensed Massage Therapist with orthopedic assessment knowledge and a MELT® (Myofascia Energetic Lengthening Technique) Practitioner which has enabled me to work with many types of populations, children to adults, professional athletes to high profile clientele; people with all levels of medical needs as well as children and adults with special needs. Accredited to instruct Massage Therapy as well, I teach at the American Institute for Alternative Medicine in East Brunswick.

My fitness and nutrition background has also enabled me to compete as a Pro Figure Body Builder Competitor. Whether in a group or individual setting I share the love of movement in teaching all formats especially Pilates, Yoga, and Cycling.

From children to adults, athletes to the sedentary; all have great improvements in strength, hip stability and balance, and even stamina. Fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, chronic fatigue syndrome, autism, as well as high risk/and all special needs populations, all realize the benefits from combining ‘smart exercise‘, flexibility, and therapy along with my experience.  Bodies have ‘inner wisdom built in’. Make the time to breathe, to think, and to connect within yourself. By training with us learn how to make positive changes that will be life-long.

I am the Founder and Owner of The Movement Institute- The Center for Wellness and Health. My diverse background has allowed me to train many types of athletes, who have all had great improvements in their sport. Pain in hips, shoulders, knees, and feet can also be eliminated by my ability to read individual body language postures and ‘prescribing’ exercises and lengthening techniques to maintaining health and wellness in a stronger and fit body for life.
